The village of Kokkino Chorio (or translated, "Red Village") is famous for the main set for the film with Anthony Quinn in "Zorba the Greek".
Just a couple of minutes walk away is the small village of Kambia.

Kokkino Chorio is just a few minutes drive from the villages of Plaka and the sea front village of Almirida with its clean shallow "Blue Flag" sandy beach's, Car Hire, Shops, Internet access, Hairdresser, Bars, Supermarkets, Wine Bar and Taverna's. Almirida also offers wind surfing, sailing lessons and boat trips.
The larger town of Kalives is under a ten minute drive away.
Chania Airport is only a 40 minute drive away.
